Brokerage event in the field of Food, Agriculture, Fishery and Biotechnology

This event will bring together scientific communities of the European Union, Eastern Europe and Central Asia to participate at FP7 calls, especially at recently launched call FP7-KBBE-2009-3.

The event is organized in accordance to the tasks of the project “S&T INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION NETWORK FOR EASTERN EUROPEAN AND CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES (IncoNet EECA)”, funded under the 7th Framework Programme of the European Community

Event

The event program includes two mutually complementary activities:

  • operating statement of the Kazakh National Centre of Biotechnology on the programme of the basic research to form the cluster in the field of biotechnology
  • partnering between the individuals and research groups to discuss the projects will be submitted to the forthcoming FP7 KBBE calls

The event program includes 2 plenary meetings and 3 parallel sessions, which will discuss general rules to participate at FP7, trends of research in the FAFB field and individual project proposals. The program is composed by the proposals of the event participants developed to submit to the current call.

A moment for participants to promote their research proposals, services or their achievements in terms of excellence as well as explore the opportunities for collaboration and partnership.

Partnering - One2one

The event will give to participants an opportunity to discuss not only research proposals. In collaboration with the National Centre of Biotechnology, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Association of SME, we are organizing one2one business meetings where universities, research centres and companies can investigate new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the field of research and for commercial and industry partnership.

At the present time number of pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies, which works in Kazakhstan or has their representatives in locale, thanks to their cooperation with National Center of Biotechnology, are ready to demonstrate their last achievements during the brokerage event. Some institutions, which participated in previous FPs will also represent their exhibitions and posters.
