  • EU/Ukraine Action Plan

    The EU/Ukraine Action Plan covers a timeframe of three years. Its implementation is meant to encourage and support Ukraine's objective of further integration into European economic and social structures. Implementation of the Action Plan will advance the approximation of Ukrainian legislation, norms and standards to those of the European Union.

  • European Neighbourhood Policy Country Report Ukraine

    In this report, the European Commission provides an assessment of bilateral relations between the EU and Ukraine. The report describes the current situation in selected areas of particular interest for this partnership: the development of political institutions based on democracy, the rule of law and human rights; regional stability and co-operation in justice and home affairs; economic and social reforms that will create new opportunities for development and modernisation, for further liberalisation of trade and for gradual participation in the Internal Market.

  • European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument

    The European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) has been operational since 1 January 2007. It is the main source of funding for the 17 partner countries (ten Mediterranean and six Eastern European countries, plus Russia) of ENP. The ENPI is the financial instrument which supports the ENP through concrete assistance actions. It replaces the co-operation programmes TACIS (for the Eastern European countries) and MEDA (for the Mediterranean countries).

  • OWWZ-Publications

    The East-West-Science Centre (OWWZ) was established as an initiative of the University of Kassel, Germany in 1992 to pave the way and intensify the co-operation in research and educational fields with universities and research and development organisations in Central and Eastern Europe. The aim of the OWWZ is to support the scientific exchange as well as to convey information on the landscape in science and technology in each of these countries.   • IncoNet EECA: Description of the project

    The partnership between the countries of the European Union and Eastern Europe/Central Asia (EECA) is of utmost importance for the political, economic and social development of both regions. Linking the scientific potential and resources has a huge impact on economic growth, social prosperity and welfare as well as public stability. The EU and EECA countries have significant potentials both in terms of the strong academic community and of worldwide leading S&T institutes in a variety of scientific disciplines.

  • SCOPE-EAST: publications

    The project "Scenarios for a co-ordinated approach to sustainable S/T co-operation with the Eastern Neighbours of the EU (SCOPE-EAST)" intends to take sustainable steps in view of an enhanced coordination of the R&D co-operation of interested EU-Member States and Associated Candidate States with Russia and Eastern Europe. SCOPE-EAST will address the question of how to achieve optimum coherence between national cooperation strategies and the EU R&D cooperation strategy and of how cooperation in R&D can contribute to other policies of the EU such as the European Neighbourhood policy. Target countries are in the first step Russia and Ukraine.
